Sara is a wife and mother of three. Sara joined Crosstalk, a contemporary-music ministry in 2005. In early 2018, the group answered a new call. The father-daughter duo merged the passion of very talented musicians to lead worship each morning in the Awakening Service.
Being a long-time member of FUMC Bryan, Karl began playing music for FUMC in 1996 when Rev. Bob Richers wanted to add contemporary Christian music to a Sunday evening worship service. In 2001, FUMC Bryan began a Sunday morning contemporary service known as the Celebration service. In 2003, Karl started Crosstalk to continue to serve churches with limited music resources or special music needs. Together with Patrick Foster and Tom Lewis, Crosstalk was able to serve many local churches. When Sara and Karl decided to join the Awakening service, it was not an easy decision to leave their traveling ministry. However, they felt like it was their calling to help their home church. They are honored and blessed to use their talents to help FUMC Bryan.
